She has immersed herself in traditional methods of treatment for modern illnesses. Following graduation, Dr.Ballas was mentored by and practiced alongside a Doctor of Chinese Medicine from China to further increase her clinical knowledge. She has brought her extensive experience to a variety of environments. Currently, Dr. Ballas is employed at Calgary Sport Therapy, Parallel Chiropractic & Wellness Center and as an Examiner for the Alberta Provincial Acupuncture Licensing Exam, which licenses all new Acupuncturists in Alberta. Dr. Ballas is also a board member of the College and Association of Acupuncturists in Alberta.
